About Sandra Sternberg

When children, youth, and their families say they can't, I remind them that THEY CAN. I am an accomplished leader in various health, grief support, and childcare industries with strengths that include compassionate, creative, and collaborative teamwork; recruitment, education, management, and mentoring of staff, students, and volunteers; fiscal responsibility, resource allocation, and positive donor relations; evidence-based program development; community education, outreach, and public relations. As an expert clinician and educator, I thrive when teaching and mentoring a diverse learner population on human development across the lifespan, the unique needs of hospitalized children and youth, patient and family-centered care, grief, loss, and bereavement, coping and pain management strategies, improving the patient experience, critical incident stress management, and more. I have a deep passion for helping First Responders gather insight into the effects of stress, trauma, grief, and loss on children and their families, creating a strong volunteer commitment to my community. I take pride in contributing to the achievement of a high-performing team by communicating and modeling strong standards of personal, professional, responsible, accountable, and ethical behavior.Lastly, as a lifelong learner, when you stop learning, you stop living, and I have no intention of doing that anytime soon.
