About Sandra Vannice

I am a doctorally prepared nurse with over 30 years experience in various settings and roles, including acute care and ambulatory care, My clinical experience has ranged from staff nurse to an advanced practice nurse, clinical trials coordinator, and oncology nursing management. I completed the DNP degree at the University of Colorado, Denver, College of Nursing in May, 2014. My capstone project focused on improving adherence to oral chemotherapy in an underserved cancer population. As a clinical nurse specialist I influenced patient care outcomes, delivery of nursing care, and organizational systems. I am a 2006 Oncology Nursing Society Leadership Development Fellow. I have worked in 2 university teaching institutions, 2 safety net hospitals and a private practice. I am a current member of the Oncology Nursing Society and served on the 2009 and 2010 Institutes of Learning planning team. I have also served on the Board of Directors of the Metro Denver chapter in various roles including President, from - 2006, 2015-20017 Specialties: Medical Oncology, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Research and Evidence-based practice.
