About Sandra Wu

I am lecturer and programme leader for the Doctor in Education (EdD) programme (Educational Leadership and Change) at the Policy, Curriculum and Leadership department in the National Institute of Education (NIE), an institute of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. I am involved in teacher education and professional development programmes and currently teaches preservice teachers, postgraduate students, and supervises doctoral students. I also conduct professional development for educational leaders such as the Management and Leadership in Schools (MLS) programme for key personnel in schools and Principal Matters Plus (PM+) programme for early childhood education leaders. I serve at the Singapore Centre for Character and Citizenship Education in teaching and research. I have conducted research in the local pre-school, primary school and secondary school contexts. My research interests include policies and leadership in education and character education. I have published on the image of the Singapore child, quality of infant-toddler programmes, various pre-school curriculum models, values education in early childhood, pedagogical leadership in early childhood education, religious harmony and multiculturalism in Singapore.
