About Sandy Brown

My current position has allowed me the opportunity to provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinicians who provide substance abuse counseling. The department uses the evidence based CBT modality in providing substance abuse treatment to females who are incarcerated. Treatment ranges from assessing the individual's treatment needs, determining the appropriate level of substance abuse treatment programs, providing the CBT treatment groups and relapse prevention. Individuals have the opportunity to be screened for Medical Assistance Treatment while incarcerated and then follow up is arranged for continuing with MAT services in the community. As the administrator, I oversee the quality of treatment programs and supplemental services provided to those incarcerated, ensure that fair and equal access to treatment is given. All program data is collected and analyzed, earned credit is awarded to those eligible and submitted to the state of Ohio. I provide clinical supervision to the clinicians in the department to foster and encourage their clinical growth
