About Sandy Cooper

I have worked in print graphics since 1980, primarily with packaging and corporate identity, but extensively as well with the development of promotional materials that are required for consistent brand support. The majority of my career has been as an independent contractor, but during several periods of permanent employment my management skills helped in art directing junior designers through all phases of projects. I was senior art director of Ram Design Group in Oakland for four years, and associate creative director for over 2 years with Vargas Marketing Group in Emeryville. I continue to freelance with associates from both of those studios. My communication skills and working style seem to make the design process a rewarding, fun and successful experience in client and vendor relationships alike. With the responsibilities of concepting, presenting and producing work throughout the years as a freelancer I have gained extensive experience in managing print resources, both traditional and digital, photographers, writers, other illustrators and production artists. I am comfortable working with both Mac and PC platforms. My computer software knowledge includes the Adobe CS6 versions of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver and my illustrative skills include most traditional media as well as electronic.Please view my work at sandracooperdesign.com.
