Demonstrates thorough knowledge of electronic health records, healthcare informatics, clinical processes, and nursing operations. Sandy Fox is currently a Project Lead on the Nursing Informatics Team at New York-Presbyterian. Prior to this role Sandy was a lead Epic Principal Trainer at NYP, responsible for a successful EMR implementation spanning across 11 different hospitals over a three-year implementation. She has worked in both an analyst and trainer capacity. Having significant project manager experience, she has overseen multiple healthcare IT projects. Prior to receiving her MSN in Informatics in 2017, Sandy worked as bedside nurse for 7 years with an extensive clinical background as a Critical Care Nurse with Emergency Department, PACU, and Interventional Radiology experience. Practiced primarily in a Level 1 Trauma nationally-ranked regional medical center. Significant experience with major EHR platforms, PeopleSoft Applications, and Learning Management Systems. Proficient in navigating multiple legacy information systems such as Picis, McKesson, Sunrise Clinical Manager, Soarian, and Star Navigator. An integral member to the NYP Nursing Informatics team, she truly has a passion for the bedside and is looking forward to the continuous work in improving nursing documentation.
