About Sandy Moy

As a second language learner myself, I bring a unique, empathetic perspective to my work with Multilingual Learners. I understand firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with acquiring a new language, and that understanding fuels my passion for creating a safe, inclusive, and student-centered classroom where active learning takes place every day.Currently, I serve as a Multilingual Resource Teacher, supporting approximately 60 ML students from kindergarten through 5th grade. My approach focuses on effective language acquisition techniques tailored to individual student needs—always with the goal of building confidence, fostering growth, and ensuring academic success.Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. These experiences have shaped me into a compassionate, versatile educator who listens carefully, adapts instruction meaningfully, and uses positive reinforcement to keep students engaged and motivated.I believe that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered in their learning journey—and I’m proud to be a part of that process every day.
