About Sandy Pappalardo

Some people ask me what attracted me to the financial services space. It started in college when I met a family friend who was a broker. He was charismatic and passionate about what he did. I decided at that initial meeting that I wanted to explore a similar career. After graduating from college with a degree in Economics, I knew I wanted to work in the financial services industry. I started out as a sales assistant and after a few years moved into operations. It was a natural fit for me, as I found I could do things in 3 steps that took others 10 steps to complete. I like efficiency. There was a moment in my career that helped shift me fully into operations and compliance. I was working for a local firm and met a top broker there who offered me a position within his organization. At that time, they were a registered investment advisor and I encouraged them to move forward with creating their own broker/dealer, which we did together, and it still exists today. I still use those skillsets in my career.
