About Sandy Rushworth
In 2022 I joined the Red Cross Coastal Plain Texas Chapter as a Board Member and Chairman of the Biomed (Blood )Committee. I seek out venues for and hold Blood Drives. I am also the Waller County Community Volunteer Leader. I am a Retired Petroleum Geologist and Volunteer Mastor Docent at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Energy, Paleo, Gems Minerals, Egypt, Sharks and Butterfly Center leading tours for children and adults. I am a summer counselor at Texas A&M Sea Camp in Galveston teaching marine biology and careers to high school kids. I also volunteer as Native Speaker teaching English at Angloville programs in Poland and in Germany. Other volunteer activities include teaching about Geology and Oceanography careers for girls 12-17 years old. I volunteer as a Mentor and Judge at Scott Tinker's SEA Switch Energy Alliance Competition. I helped a team win in 2022. I enjoy baking, walking, canoeing, camping, hiking, snorkeling and traveling. j
