About Sandy Slade

With over two decades leading Skillastics®, I am dedicated to enhancing children’s joy through physical activity. Our mission has always been clear: simplify the implementation of physical activity programs, reduce stress for educators, and ensure every child—regardless of ability—experiences success and engagement. In more than 25 years, Skillastics® has reached 10 million students across educational settings nationwide, a true testament to our ability to empower educators and inspire kids to embrace movement in a fun, positive way. My entrepreneurial journey began as a Professional Basketball Handler, performing at NBA and college halftimes, school assemblies, camps, and special events worldwide for 22 years. Those travels gave me a front-row seat to a troubling reality: physical activity opportunities often focused on athletic kids, while the children who needed movement the most were left behind. This insight fueled my motivation to create Skillastics® curriculum and activity kits—resources designed to be easy for instructors to implement, engaging for all students, and effective in building lifelong confidence through physical activity.
