About Sandy Sumerix

One example of my creative experiences includes creating a bi-monthly magazine from the ground up including the design, layout, and creative content. Subscription at the end of two years was over I also directed the team of creative designers in determining magazine content for each issue. I was responsible for gathering the magazine’s content and prepared the layout. My presentation experiences include writing and teaching classes at national levels on creating personal histories and developing them into books. Classes consisted of 30-200 attendees. My experience also includes conceptualizing store layouts to increase sales: I worked with store owners to implement the new layout, and I led a design team to create course materials to ensure alignment with store layout plans. I taught these layout plans at National Conventions. I have experience in problem solving and understanding consumer trends. One example is my experience designing products from hand drawing to digital illustration, which were sold on QVC and HSN. Customers had the option to purchase kits of the products in brick and mortar stores as well. These marketing skills also enhance my value to your company. I have re-branded multiple companies in the real estate, service, athletic, and crafting industries. These rebrands have included the implementation of the new design throughout their print and digital assets. Assets included business cards, brochures, packaging, mailers, and social media. I effectively collaborate with others, as evidenced by my work with a University Partnership team to create a print system that would combine the six different logos and information of each university into one system for cohesiveness. My bachelor’s degree in graphic design has broadened my knowledge of current design tools, typography elements, and design strategies, and provided me with additional opportunities to be creative and collaborative. I am exceptionally skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and XD. I love what I do and I bring that positivity into the workplace.
