About Sandy Williams

Changing lives and helping others is my greatest success in life. As we age, we define success differently than we may have in our twenties and thirties. During those years, I was young, energetic and ambitious in the business world working my way up from a receptionist to the right hand person of the owner of a nationwide construction and telecommunications company. I made great money and had some wonderful experiences. My life changed due to health issues which slowed me down and I returned to my passion- helping others- as an instructional assistant for kids k-5 with special needs. I returned to school and earned my BA in special education. After a short time teaching in the public schools, I landed at an ABA center and gained my RBT certification to do early intervention with kids 2-7 on the autism spectrum. After a year, I was promoted to center manager where I was able to use my business experience along with my RBT skills. The best of both worlds. Now, as I navigate advanced heart failure, I am able to work from home a few hours a week as an admin associate as I use my knowledge and life experiences to listen to, empathize with and share unsolicited advice to those around me. That is success. Every life I touch in a positive way is an achievement.
