About Sandy Wong

With a strong and established background in launching and managing high-profile large-scale international exhibitions like Milipol Asia-Pacific, DIMDEX, ADAS, HLS and EDRR, Sandy Wong brings more than 18 years of industry experience to the MICE industry. She has successfully led project teams beyond Singapore - in Middle East, India, the Philippines and Indonesia. Among her more notable achievement is her stewardship and management of the Doha Maritime Defence Show (DIMDEX) in 2008 where she was stationed in Qatar from the project's inception to its successful completion. Sandy is a key member of the pioneer team behind the Asian Defense & Security Exhibition (ADAS) in the Philippines and firmly establishing it as Philippines's flagship defense and security event. It is currently in its sixth edition and exceeded its targeted growth path. Other significant large-scale launches include EDRR Indonesia 2023 (Emergency Disaster Reduction & Rescue Expo), the Homeland Security Indonesia (HLS) show held in Jakarta; and the Global Security Event (India) in 2010. Currently, Sandy is the Lead Project Director for Milipol Asia-Pacific. Milipol Asia-Pacific is the premier homeland security event in South East Asia. It is in its eleventh edition and part of the wider global Milipol Network—the world’s largest platform for security solutions across events in Paris, Qatar, and India. Outside the event management sphere, Sandy played a pivotal management role in rebranding and relaunching the former Global Security Asia into Milipol Asia-Pacific, and strengthening the event's position within the global business network. In addition to her core event management expertise, Sandy goes the extra mile in creating and building strong working relationships with government agencies, business networks and key stakeholders across the security and defense sectors. She understands the importance of inter-dependence and the need for inter-connectivity amongst collaborative partners in order to ensure smooth projects execution at both the regional and international level. Her ability to see both the micro and macro perspective enables her to adopt a hands-on team approach that reflects a deep commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships and delivering impactful results with professionalism, diligence and care.
