About Sangeeth Kochanthara
I am fascinated by the large and complex software systems (e.g, automotive) we interact with daily. The safety and correct functioning of these systems are fundamental to modern life. My Ph.D. research identifies (safety) requirements, assess requirements in the design and architecture of these systems and investigates their development in open source. My research has unearthed inherent flaws in safety requirement elicitation, identified shortcomings of assessment techniques, and presented the new landscape shift from proprietary to open source software development in the automotive domain. I have worked with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams for my research on cyber-physical systems. I have collaborated with company stakeholders (e.g, TNO, TomTom, Siemens), government agencies (e.g, NWO), and project partners (e.g, the i-CAVE consortium - a consortium of 50+ companies and four universities), defining and aligning research goals and trajectories.
