About Sania Tuli

Sania Tuli graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Human Biology and Society and minor in disability studies. She hopes to obtain a medical degree in the future but is meanwhile broadening her experience to grow as an inclusive, culturally sensitive provider so that she can deliver healthcare with utmost quality. Passionate about extending her knowledge of healthcare beyond the borders of the United States, she will soon be starting a position as an Allied Health Assistant with the Social Domain in Melbourne, Australia to provide speech pathology to nonverbal autistic children and stroke patients who have lost their ability to speak, while conducting research to better the outcomes of these populations. She is passionate about increasing accessibility to healthcare to underserved communities. During the summer of 2022, she interned for Indian Health Service, a government agency aiming to better the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of indigenous populations. Sania presented an overview of the initiative she started to better outcomes for indigenous people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS at the US Conference for HIV and AIDS (USCHA) in San Juan Puerto Rico in October 2022. Sania is also an advocate for the disabled community. She worked as a clinical research assistant for the PEERS® Clinic at UCLA, where she assisted in providing evidence-based social skills treatment to autistic young adults, adolescents, and preschoolers. Through the PEERS® Clinic, she presented 2 research posters at International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) in Stockholm Sweden and Melbourne, Australia in 2023 and 2024 respectively, amongst 3 other national conferences. She is the first author on a manuscript exploring the predictability of social responsiveness and parenting stress. She is proficient in practical lab skills, electronic medical databases, RedCap, and data analysis.
