About Sanjay Kumar Shukla

Dr Sanjay Kumar Shukla is a world-renowned expert in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering. He is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Geosynthetics and Ground Engineering. He currently serves as the Civil Engineering Discipline Coordinator and Founding Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering Research Group Leader at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. He holds Distinguished Professorships at several institutions, including Delhi Technological University, India, and Southern Illinois University, USA. He is a registered Chartered Professional Engineer in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering with Engineers Australia and an International Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering by the International Engineering Association. Dr Shukla serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. He is a distinguished fellow of American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Australia, a life fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Geotechnical Society, and a member of several other professional organisations. With an extensive career spanning over 28 years, he has excelled in teaching, research, consultancy, administration, and professional engagement. Renowned for his prolific contributions, Dr Shukla has authored over 335 technical articles, including more than 225 scholarly journal publications. An accomplished author/editor of 28 books, encompassing 7 textbooks and 25 book chapters, his impact extends across academia and industry.
