Background • Is a passionate research leader who obtained a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Alcala & M.E. Degree in Software Engineering from MN National Institute of Technology • Ranked 2nd for publication points within the Science and Technology group and 6th across all disciplines in Norway(2023) • Acquired several awards for outstanding publications (2014 IET Software Premium Award (UK), Turkish Higher Education, & Atilim University) • Internationally recognized for having organized and delivered more than 100 Keynote/invited talks/public lectures in reputed conferences and institutes and organized workshops and coordinated with over 300 researchers worldwide(traveled to more than 60 countries) • has 25 years of wide experience in academic & research administration in various universities in Asia, Europe, & Africa • Chaired the Center of ICT/ICE Research(2015-2021). This centre is of a multidisciplinary nature and consists of three research groups, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering Modelling and Intelligent Systems(SEMIS),and Health Informatics,and provides ICT solutions to the academic community and outside society • 2nd in Africa in Computer Science as renowned by Scopus (Elsevier) analysis between 2017 and 2021 • Held various academic positions including but not limited to the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Cyber Security & professor • Working as a visiting /collaborative researcher in various universities & industries worldwide (Australia, Spain, Malta, Italy, France, Argentina, Turkey, Singapore,Chile,Brazil,Mexico,South Africa,Malaysia,Nigeria,Myanmar,India,UK, and the USA) Research • Interest Area: Digital Sovereignty, Software Engineering(SE), Applied Informatics (Health, Security, Education, Government etc, intelligent systems, Sustainability Development Goals,Sustainability through ICT/SE • Published >150JCR/SCIE(Google h factor-54) • Designated as the founding organizing chair of 3 annual Int Symposiums-Software Engineering Process & Applications (Springer(LNCS),2009-2023),Software Quality(2009,LNCS by Springer) & workshop-Tools & Techniques in Soft.
