About Sanjeev Bhandari

I started my career as a Software QA Engineer improving the software reliability, resiliency & accuracy of product offerings from think3 Design, currently DPT. Interacting with the global teams, I quickly learned that managing and implementing products at various geographical locations require different approaches. Within a year, I was adept at identifying the flaws and major pitfalls in the design early on in the SDLC cycle of ThinkDesign’s drafting module. As a result of this exceptional quality, I was assigned a lead role to deliver a high quality 2D module of think design product. Moving out of my comfort zone and expanding my capabilities of testing monolithic CAD products, I enhanced my overarching goals to PLM and PDM domain that is susceptible to multitude of complexities. In addition to testing, I started contributing towards setup of the internal test environments & supporting our team to improve the turnaround time with these customized environments. By extending custom environments access to other teams, an organizational change was initiated to break down the siloed structures. Senior management identified the quick learner quality in me and offered a role in the "Test Environment Installation and Support" team. Quickly adapting to this new role and combining my product knowledge together with the deployment architecture expertise, I received various recognitions -"SIEMENS You Answered" for exceeding SLA expectations of customers. In my new role, I maintained the continuity of expanding my knowledge base by adding CICD and DevOPS automation capabilities to my install & admin skillsets to manage SIEMENS' products. Rolling out deployment plans and covering various combinations of product configurations, app servers, DB’s, OS’, I started leading multiple functional areas of SIEMENS’ product releases. Working with different stake holders, I developed new in-house automated products to increase the deployment efficiency of various teams by multiple folds. Utilizing open source tools, licensing costs were eliminated for business continuity to validate fresh installs, patching & upgrade of various products. I decided to pursue a full time EMBA program from University at Buffalo, New York in the year 2017. The learning experience helped me in identifying and filling the organization gaps by analyzing situations from a different lens. Combining my engineering skills together with problem-solving capabilities, I continue to address the most problematic areas of product development, maintenance and sustainment throughout my exciting IT journey.
