Presently, working as a Responsible officer for X-ray Crystal Spectroscopy diagnostic packages for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) being built in Cadarache, France. Senior Scientist at ITER-India, Institute for plasma research, Gandhinagar. A recognized faculty as Associate Professor at Homi Bhabha National Institute, BARC, Mumbai. Former Chair of Passive Spectroscopy Specialist Working Group of International Tokamak Physics Activity topical group on diagnostics (2014 -18). He is a member of the Passive spectroscopy specialist working group (2008 onwards). He was a member of Laser-Aided Diagnostics SWG too. Session chair of ITPA diagnostics meetings at ITER Organisation, France. Alumni of FOM-Institute of plasma physics Rijnhuizen - DIFFER (The Netherlands), Forschungszentrum (Juelich, Germany). Carried out doctoral thesis work on TEXTOR tokamak - “Dynamics of mesoscale structures in tokamak plasma studied by multi-pulse Thomson scattering” - on an important topic of fusion energy research. Invited talks in the international and national conferences: International Conference on Optical and Photonic Engineering (icOPEN- 2015, Singapore), 2015 Joint ICTP - IAEA workshop on modern methods in plasma spectroscopy (Trieste, Italy), International Conference on Current Developments in Atomic, Molecular, Optical and Nano Physics with Applications (DU, Delhi), INS National workshop on radiation shielding design and analysis (BARC, Mumbai) … A certified Radiological Safety Officer (BARC, Mumbai) and ISO QA (Bureau VERITAS, Ahmedabad). Life member of professional organizations: Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI), Indian Society of Atomic and Molecular Physics (ISAMP).
