Qualified CWA (merit holder) with over 32 years of industry experience in Metals and Manufacturing sectors in all areas of Finance including Project Finance, Capital Budgeting, Process & Product Costing, Operation Budgets, Indirect Taxation, Statutory Compliance and MIS. Presently, Director Finance at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Mumbai. Earlier Director Finance at MIDHANI, Hyderabad (Jan’17 to Jan’20). Prior to MIDHANI, worked as Head of Project Finance in Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) of SAIL Finance lead for successfully obtaining ISO certification for the Finance function at RSP. Lead for Strategic Planning and implementation of ICS model for Finance Function. Successfully launched IPO of MIDHANI in March 2018. Successfully launched IPO of MDL in September 2020. Exposure in forecasting, Capital Budgeting, detailed project reports, tendering, negotiations, contract awarding, payments & accounting, assetisation, management of resources and contract closure activities relating to Procurement and EPC Contracts. Managed Project Contracts valuing up to Rs.800 crores. Experience in setting up and monitoring of Costing system, Standard Costing, Variance analysis, forecasting and Operation Budgeting, working capital projections, formulating and driving organisation-wide Cost control / Cost reduction plans, sensitivity analysis modeling for techno-parameters. Quantification of financial gains from R&D initiatives. Respected finance faculty at Management Training Institute (a premiere Executive Training Institute of SAIL) and also at Human Resources Development Centre, RSP (a training institute of repute at RSP). Developed Training Modules for spreading Cost Consciousness and for imparting understanding of Finance for effective business decisions.
