About Sankar Das

Dr. Sankar Das obtained Ph.D. in Materials Science (Chemistry) from S.N Bose National Centre For Basic Sciences (University of Calcutta) in 2018. He worked as postdoctoral fellow at Ulsan University, South Korea. He worked as a research professor (assistant) at University of Yeungnam. Now, he is working as a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University - NTU Singapore from december 2022. His present interest is in Material Chemistry, Nanowires, Nanoparticles, Energy Conversion, Environmental science and Photocatalysis. He has also significant expertise in synthesis of metal/metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs), metal alloy Nps and nanocomposites as well as electrocatalysis, photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, spectroscopy, gas adsorption and water purification. He is focused on Advanced Energy Materials for the development of novel nanostructures and nanocomposites for Energy Generation and Storage. The aim of this activity is to apply nano-materials in specific applications of Energy related areas and thereby undertaking applied research to bridge the gap between science and technology.
