About Sanni Kujala

Before starting in the latest role at Valmet, I was working with people and numbers in in-house finance teams in different companies in the logistics, beverage, and IT industries. Before that, I was an accounting consultant in a bookkeeping company for almost 6 years. My career path started right after I graduated from Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business. The turning point of my study and career happened in Kouvola city, Finland. I was a 2nd-year business trade student when I got a chance to do my internship in a bookkeeping company. During that time, I realized that the fast-paced environment with talented colleagues inspired me to learn and want more. Later on, I did my training at the Finance department at Lutheran evangelical society in Kouvola and finished my Bachelor thesis while working on a Microsoft Dynamics NAV project in an international beverage and catering company in Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Thanks to these experiences, I proved myself several times that if I set myself up for it I can do anything. I also learned that a positive attitude and reinforcement bring out the best in people, it's easier to reach targets if the people you work with are feeling upbeat. I'm motivated by [perhaps slightly naïve] belief in the goodness of people and their smiley faces. I love working with numbers and learn to understand what "stories" they tell to support business objectives. Having said that I do not shy away from hands-on work. Whether working within a client organization or as a team member in projects I am outcome-focused, collaborative, and versatile. I see myself working with AI and developing automation in financial accounting and specialize in business technology solutions in the next five years. To be able to do all of these, I got myself back to school to study for a new Degree in Engineering. With a clear vision in terms of hard work, I believe that everything is possible.
