About Sansan Dimanche

Large Experiences in Leading Health and Nutrition interventions in emergency as well as in development settings in multicultural environment. I have more than 24 years of progressive professional experiences with WFP, World Vision International and UNICEF at different positions and various countries in areas of Nutrition and Public Health programming with a technical focus on childhood and maternal nutrition, emergency nutrition, primary health care programming, Food aid and food security management, public health and nutrition policy design and reform, Emergency nutrition response and public health program management including HIV/AIDS programming. During that time I have managed different kind of Grants targeting Nutrition Program (CMAM, Blanket Feeding, Food for work, General Food distribution etc.) from various donators such as USAID/OFDA EU/ECHO, CIDA from Canada, DEC from UK and ADH from Germany, SWISAID, Taiwan Grants, Grants from UN Organizations (FAO, WFP, UNICEF etc.) as well as with local Government project supports. I have a proven ability to manage large-scale interventions for food aid in Congo DRC (2003-2004) and Niger (2005-2006) with an effective facilitation skill, providing team coordination and managing staff, grantees, partners and volunteers. I have ability to work in cross multicultural environment, fast paced fluid environments with multiple projects and deadlines. Currently, I am working with the WFP Regional Office in West Africa based in Dakar (Senegal) with the essential mission to fight the underlying causes of malnutrition in the region through supporting nutrition sensitive interventions (Agriculture, Food for Asset, Cash Transfer, Social Net Safety, Early Child Development etc.) and to building nutritional resilience in 5 Sahelian countries namely: Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Niger.
