About Sant Chawla

As Director of the Sarcoma Oncology Center and Cancer Center of Southern California, I focus on developing innovative treatment approaches for patients with bone and soft-tissue sarcomas and other complex cancers. My clinical journey has been shaped by a commitment to finding alternatives to traditional treatments, including pioneering limb-saving approaches for osteosarcoma patients since the 1980s. Professional Highlights: 1. Principal investigator for numerous clinical trials contributing to the development and approval of cancer therapeutics including trabectedin, pazopanib, eribulin, and denosumab 2. Published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals with contributions to sarcoma and oncology research 3. Engaged in multi-disciplinary research spanning pancreatic, gynecologic, breast, and brain cancers 4. Currently investigating novel therapeutic approaches, including recent work with Aldoxorubicin showing promising outcomes in soft tissue sarcoma Clinical Background: Board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, with expertise built through training at leading institutions. Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (F.R.A.C.P.)
