About Santanu Das

Santanu Das has over 25 years of experience in the A/E/C industry ranging from leading development teams responsible for market leading modeling, design and simulation products to C-level positions at various public companies. Santanu started his career at Research Engineers where he was responsible for the development and sales of STAAD.Pro, the world's leading structural simulation product. He then started another company called Web4 to help automate an engineer’s workflow through real time Web-based document management and collaboration. Santanu then merged the two companies and took it public during the height of the.com era. After selling Research Engineers to Bentley Systems in 2005 and Web4 to another public company in 2006, Santanu served as the Senior Vice President of the Design & Simulation group where he helped manage over $400MM in revenues from Bentley’s desktop products. Most recently, he was the Chief Acceleration Officer where he managed the corporate strategy in regard to acquisitions, minority investments, corporate venture capital and new startup businesses. He has extensive international experience creating new resource centers in SE Asia, India and Europe as well as developing joint ventures in China. Santanu holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California.
