About Santi Recalde

With over 19 years of experience in financial risk, I am a senior credit analyst at Superior Plus Corp, a leading provider of propane in North America, and I am an Insurance Credit Risk Consultant for IDB-Invest. I am passionate about assessing and managing credit risk, improving and maintaining internal credit scoring models, and providing executive reports on credit exposure and delinquency. I hold a master's degree in finance, a bachelor's degree in international business, and the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). I strive to deliver high-quality results that align with the company's vision and values. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked in different countries and sectors. In my current role at Superior, I am responsible for the credit risk of 500 counterparties located in North America, ranging from small businesses to large corporations. I use my analytical skills, financial knowledge, and business acumen to conduct financial statement analysis, assign credit ratings, approve credit limits, and monitor market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that could impact credit risk. I also manage parental guarantees and letters of credit, and oversee collections. In my current role at IDB-Invest I analyze Insurance companies, recommend a credit limit and a credit rating.
