Roles & Responsibilities : • Occupant safety simulations using Ls-Dyna for front & side impact for rear occupant with ATD dummies which involves validation of various NCAP regulations (ENCAP, IIHS, China-NCAP, etc.). • Validation & Correlation of simulation with Crash & Sled test, countermeasures and recommendation of design changes to enhance safety performance of the vehicle. • Responsible for Rear adult occupant Safety & NCAP requirement for front and Side crash activities. • Defining Load limiting for rear occupant Seatbelt system to meet the adult safety requirement & minimize the occupant injuries. • Perform robustness analysis to fulfill internal requirements. • Integrity and performance check of subsystems (Door trims, belt systems, seats) in crash, recommendation of design optimization to suppliers and design counterparts. • System (seat/ belt/airbag) evaluations for full vehicle as well as sub-model simulations analysis. • Novel CAE method development. FE model validation (simulation vs. HW test) for better prognosis.
