About Saoreen Rahman

I have over 5 years of experience working in blockchain, cryptography, cyber security, information security and data security. Currently, I am working as Research Assistant with Professor Dr Rei Safavi-Naini of the University of Calgary and expect to graduate in January 2022. I am passionate about new technologies, new ideas and new ways of thinking. I am interested to learn how to make information safer and more secure so that someone cannot hack a computer system to steal any data or information from people. My work ethic has helped me tremendously in working my way up the career ladder as I would not be where I am if it was not for that. My work ethic is my best strength, I come into work and make sure everything is done that needs to be done. The work ethic has made attaining my career goals very easy to do. Some of my professional goals are very subtle, for example I would like to perform my job to the best of my ability. Another professional goal I have is to never stop learning or improving my skill set so that I never stay stagnant. I have always known that to be happy in your career you have to do what you love and do what interests you. So, I am following what I love to do and interests me. I am a permanent citizen of Canada, living in the Calgary area.
