Background

About Saqeeb Islam

As a proactive and challenge-seeking individual, I am looking to advance my career in ways that will help build both my engineering experience and the role I can play in society. I have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively with a team. However, I can also perform well individually when it is required. I have experience working as a designer as well as quality control through my various work terms. This experience has made me proficient with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks, and has refined my knowledge of engineering principles. All of my previous work has required me to push myself into new and unfamiliar territory, which in turn has made me into the driven and dedicated person that I am today. I enjoy a number of extracurricular activities. Keeping a consistent routine at the gym not only helps keep me healthy but also outlines how I stay organized and committed to my work. In addition to that, I enjoy playing soccer, going biking, as well as hiking. Skilled in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, completing audits, and Microsoft Office. Graduated from the University of Alberta in April 2018 with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and with an Msc in Mechanical Engineering in April 2024.
