About Sara Bell

Animal care is what I do. Helping people lights my fire too. When chatting with people, I say ‘Where does the time go?’ Loving people and looking after animals is all I know. I hope you liked my poem. I love to write when I have free time. Writing poetry is one of my top hobbies. I also love to volunteer at the homeless shelter and travel. These are all activities that strengthen my empathy and humble my perspective on the big beautiful world that surrounds us. Writing poetry is always a welcome challenge. Sometimes I want to give up when I feel like all my poems are worthless, but I continue to persevere and discover that I can create something beautiful if I stick to it. During my workday, I help researchers produce top-quality data. I do this by providing excellent care to the animals used in their studies. I have access to clearly outlined SOPs that guide me in my daily duties and direct me to appropriate action when unexpected situations arise. If I fail to provide excellent care or take appropriate action when necessary, it could result in a compromise of animal welfare or research data. I've had a variety of jobs, all focused on people care or animal care. I love looking out for both. There's not an animal that I don't enjoy working with. The stranger the animal, the more I enjoy working with it because I’m blessed with an opportunity to learn something new. I've had a variety of jobs communicating with a variety of people, some more pleasant than others. I love to interact with people because we're all so different. While taking a breather from city life and living on a barrier island, I was working at the Piggly Wiggly as a cashier/stock associate. I was so passionate about maintaining an organized storefront for the customers and helping them find what they were looking for. My supervisor decided to give me a raise four times and promoted me to produce supervisor over the span of two years. I’ve had a few notable accomplishments throughout my career. At Northwood Animal Hospital, I was hired on the spot after the management saw my hard work as a volunteer at the local wildlife hospital. Then I was given a promotion a few months later. At FSU, I’ve completed two industry certifications and my boss gave me a certificate detailing her recognition of my hard work and willingness to help around the facility with a smile on my face. My team and I get a lot of work done, but we also like to have fun. Whilst working our lives away, we joke with each other throughout the day. Feel free to reach out for a chat.
