About Sara Boyd

I’m a Clinical Research Coordinator and Trial Interventionist with a master’s in Human Nutrition, a background in dental healthcare operations and education, and certification as a Master Land Navigator.I bring a multidisciplinary background shaped by years in health-related operations, patient engagement, and research, grounded in clinical environments and behavioral science. Before research, I spent over a decade in dental and surgical settings, leading operations, supporting provider teams, and coaching students on effective communication.Along the way, I earned a degree in nutrition, added Agile project management certification, and a graduate certificate in Good Clinical Practices. I apply this foundation to every phase of trial coordination, from recruitment and regulatory compliance to data analysis and intervention delivery.My current work involves coordinating an NIH-funded infectious disease trial in behavioral health. Early in the study, I delivered the study intervention, disclosed STI test results to participants, managed visit workflows, and supported protocol adherence. As the trial progressed, I closed out DSMB reporting, completed data collection, calculated outcomes, contributed to ClinicalTrials.gov updates, and supported publication efforts. I continue to assist with data analysis and manuscript development as we move toward study close-out. In a lean research team, I’ve taken on sponsor- and monitor-facing tasks that go beyond typical site coordination.
