I’m an ASCP-certified Molecular Biologist with over 5 years of hands-on experience executing and optimizing high-throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows in CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratories. My core expertise lies in Illumina platforms (NovaSeq iSeq 100), hybrid capture and amplicon-based assays, and end-to-end sample processing—from nucleic acid extraction and library prep to sequencing, data QC, and variant reporting. I’ve played a key role in troubleshooting assay failures, optimizing workflows for throughput and consistency, and implementing process controls to reduce variability. I regularly train and mentor new team members on wet lab protocols, automation platforms, and assay-specific best practices. My work also includes supporting root cause investigations, maintaining reagent inventory systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on assay updates and workflow transitions. I’m now looking to transition into a formal NGS leadership role where I can apply my deep technical foundation and collaborative mindset to lead teams and deliver high-quality sequencing results at scale.
