About Sara Conca

Sara Conca, a contemporary abstract artist of French-Italian descent, has sold her work to collectors in Europe, Asia, and the United States, and her paintings and sculptures can be found in private chateaus and hotel lobbies in France, as well as in many exclusive celebrity homes. By the age of 17, Sara was living and working in Paris, a lifechanging experience that reinforced her need for movement, energy and art. While in Paris, Sara studied sculpture at Ateliers D’Art De St Maur Des Fosses, and further continued her education as an assistant of the critically lauded artist Pervis Young, and the world-renowned Canadian artist Graham Gillmore. Sara has spent her last 18 years in Manhattan, living solely off her painting sales. Extensive international travels and the influence of the eclectic streets of New York City have given her an insightful appreciation for ever-changing environments and settings, and have heavily influenced her career. My works are infused with 18 carat gold, a transitional mineral that reflects in the light, which I in turn manipulate and layer to change texture, giving each of my pieces increased movement and energy, thus affording each creation velocity. Gold is internationally appealing, and evokes integrity, sophistication, and elegance, providing an alluring value to my work.
