About Sara Dada

Sara Dada recently completed her PhD as an Ad Astra Scholar at University College Dublin focusing on maternal health and community engagement. As a Fulbright Scholar in the UK, Sara pursued an MSc One Health (Infectious Diseases) at the Royal Veterinary College and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine after graduating with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she majored in Public Policy and minored in Economics. Sara has conducted and led research projects focusing on communications and community engagement to empower communities and build capacity in Sierra Leone, Kenya, India, Tanzania, and Zambia. Sara has also supported organizations such as the World Health Organization, Women in Global Health, and GOAL on research and advocacy projects relating to communications, community engagement, and participation. She has published a number of peer-reviewed articles on subjects ranging from maternal and child health to vaccine hesitancy to community engagement and has been invited to present her innovative research on community engagement and realist methods in global health at numerous conferences, panels, and webinars.
