About Sara Drum
Working with children is not only a job, but a passion of mine. While attending undergraduate school at the University of Cincinnati, I volunteered as a tutor for at-risk youth with students that were in middle school and in high school. After graduating, I began working with KinderCare as a teacher. This is a childcare program for before and after school with students in elementary. While working for KinderCare, I completed my Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate with International TEFL Academy. After almost two years at the company, I decided to pursue my goal as an English teacher with working for Qkids as an online English teacher to children in China. Plus, I enrolled into a graduate school to attain my master degree and teaching license to work in an elementary school with English language learners. Not only am I working as an English teacher, but I am a certified behavioral technician. This position involves working with children that have autism by using positive support behaviors and by building their communication skills, life skills, and social skills.
