About Sara Gerdom

Hello! I’m Sara. I am a Lab Operations and Research Associate working for Boundless Bio Inc. I work in biological science and am passionate about helping develop treatments for previously intractable diseases. Many people ask me what it means to have two different titles as part of my job. Practically, it means I can both build out and work in a laboratory. With the team at Boundless Bio Inc, I have helped a growing startup move into a new, larger, space (twice!). I have also helped onboard more than 15 scientists and designed the layouts for our chemistry/biology labs. I have become a master of all trades in Lab Operations, doing tasks from purchasing to equipment troubleshooting. As the song goes, if you have a problem, well, I'll solve it! I am also a skilled researcher ready to run weekly assays. I have 3+ years of research experience, 2 in biotech and 1 in academia. From biochemical screening to target validation efforts, I have been gaining broad exposure to different approaches to drug development. It is too early in my career to be called an expert in any one area. However, I am developing a passion for microscopy and particularly fluorescent imaging. Ask me about my co-IF-FISH abilities!
