Background
About Sara Gonzalez
THIS IS NOT AN UPDATED PROFILE. FOR SERIOUS WORK INQUIRES, PLEASE MESSAGE ME. I learned ASL from my mother, who was also an interpreter. I have a Deaf Uncle who greatly influenced my life and ultimately, my career path. I did not formally take an ASL/Interpreting class until 2015 at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, CA. I graduated from their program Summa Cum Laude with a Double Associates in 2019 and went straight into work in Special Education. In the midst of the pandemic, the Interpreter Education Program at Cal State Northridge was forced to go online. I applied and was accepted to both CSUN and the IEP. I have since graduated from CSUN Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in ASL/English Interpreting in 2023. I am currently working as a full time freelance interpreter working on CASLI certification. I have successfully passed both my CASLI Generalist Knowledge Exam and CASLI Case Studies Exam on my first attempt. EIPA and CASLI Performance Exam loading soon.
