About Sara Gray

Graduate Sports Therapist (MSST) • Lecturer and Course Leader, USW Sport and Exercise Therapy • Sports Therapist, Welsh Women's National Team • Former Senior Academy Sports Therapist at Swansea City AFC I recognise the interdisciplinary demands placed on a Graduate Sports Therapist working in elite sport. In addition to my clinical expertise, I have a strong interest in performance science. Before transitioning to my current role as a lecturer, I worked full-time in elite development football, managing complex and long-term injury cases, and leading injury rehabilitation and prevention programmes for both age-group and professional development phase athletes. My teaching areas encompass musculoskeletal examination, management and treatment — including joint mobilisations, advanced soft tissue therapy, electrotherapy, pitch side first aid and pre-hospital care and advanced rehabilitation. My academic position has also provided me the opportunity to contribute to the international set-up of the Welsh Women's National Football Team, working within their multidisciplinary team.
