About Sara Jackson

As a senior metocean engineer and team lead at DHI A/S, I am dedicated to developing and applying advanced numerical models and analysis techniques in the field of offshore wind. Throughout my career, I have played a key role in delivering high-quality metocean assessments for a wide range of offshore wind projects, from preliminary Front-End Engineering Design level studies, to detailed design and operational planning. My field of work has lead to assessing complex metocean conditions in Northern Europe, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, U.S. East Coast regions. Part of my role includes being responsible for a team of engineers in the Offshore Wind - Metocean Segment in the Denmark office, which works closely with the larger Metocean Team situated in numerous DHI offices globally. Looking to the future, I am excited to continue pushing the boundaries of metocean modelling and analysis, exploring new techniques and approaches to help our clients meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving offshore wind industry. Outside of work, I have a passion for sailing, both competing and coaching others. I have competed both nationally, in the UK, and internationally in a variety of junior and youth performance dinghy's as well as competing at university team racing events as part of the Reading University sailing team. Now, I sail with Hellerup Sejlklub located to the north of Copenhagen.
