About Sara Marcus

I am a BSN graduate of Drexel University’s accelerated nursing program. After obtaining my degree I began working in the Surgical Trauma ICU in a Magnet status, level one trauma facility for a year and a half. Following this, I began traveling as a Covid ICU nurse in highly impacted areas across the country including Florida, California, and Texas. I accepted leadership roles in all hospitals and worked closely with management throughout the pandemic to implement appropriate clinical practices. After working in multiple hospitals, I have developed skills in multiple EMR systems including EPIC, Cerner/ iSite, and Meditech. I am currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and am a Certified Critical Care RN (CCRN). I am a compassionate nurse with exceptional clinical, didactic, and leadership skills who is comfortable in fast-paced situations and adept in crisis management of critically ill patients. I have developed successful prioritization, communication, and time management skills, along with sound judgment required to improve the quality of my patient’s care and outcome. I strive to utilize, and continuously improve upon, these strong skills in all hospital facilities in which I work. My strong and diverse critical care background has laid the foundation for my next career as a Nurse Anesthetist. Currently I am enrolled at Thomas Jefferson University where I plan to fulfill my degree by 2025.
