About Sara Marques

Sara Marques is a game director at Game Dev Técnico, Instituto Superior Técnico's game development association, where she leads the team developing Paper Park, a 3D platformer game set in an arts and crafts theme park diorama. She pitched the game idea, produced the documentation, and coordinated the team, as well as written code using Unreal Engine 5. She has also collaborated with over 50 devs in 20 game jams as a game designer and programmer, using various tools and platforms, such as Unity, and Unreal Engine.She earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, where she learned the fundamentals of software development and learned Java, Python, HTML, Javascript, and C, and had contact with many other programming languages and aspects of software engineering.She also holds a master's degree in computer science from Instituto Superior Técnico, where she learned the fundamentals and advanced topics of game development, prototyping, and user experience. She has also worked as a monitor for Verão na ULisboa, a summer program that teaches high school students how to create their own games using Gamemaker Studio 2. She is passionate, creative, and adaptable, with strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. She aims to pursue a career where he can apply his knowledge in programming and continue to challenge himself.
