About Sara Masser

Hello! My nonprofit career began in 2006 when, with zero experience, I was handed a stack of membership forms, a database login, and was told,"There are no procedures, but we trust you'll figure it out!" And I did! Because I serendipitously stumbled into development and have been largely self-taught, I possess a unique and varied skill set paired with a quick and inquisitive mind. Over the years, I have helped my Orgs create, expand, and increase their direct mail, email, monthly giving, and digital campaigns. I've helped to plan and lead everything from small donor cultivation events to multi-day art festivals. I've managed four different databases and fallen in love with data. The former has helped me understand the many, many ways data can be used to analyze results and, most importantly, drive strategy. Overall, I strive to help organizations and their people come together through data-driven strategy, thoughtful story-telling, meaningful connection, and visually engaging design. For me, it's all about helping non-profits use their data, fundraise efficiently, and capitalize on donor relationship potential.
