About Sara Morris

I am going into my 7th year (24/25) of working as a Lecturer in Animal Studies at Coleg Sir Gar, Pibwrlwyd Campus. I am a course leader for the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Animal Care and will be enrolling a cohort of 15-20 learners. This career is my first official teaching post in FE/HE education & feels like the perfect environment, challenge & setting I can envisage myself working in for quite some time. My educational journey has grown from gaining a 2:1 in International Wildlife Biology in 2014, a Distinction in Professional Graduate Certificate in Education in 2018, both from the University of South Wales & and Merit in MSc in Education from the University of Southampton in 2022! My bronze, silver & gold medals of my education journey! 🥇🥈🥉 I thoroughly enjoy working in such a diverse, challenging, educational environment and working closely with well-established lecturers whom give me the support I need in furthering my career. I am a very driven, hardworking individual, who takes on any challenge given and is looking to learn and grow in my skills at any opportunity given within the education sector. In addition to my employment, I have also gained my Level 3 Assessor Award specialising in Life Sciences, Level 4 IQA qualification and fast tracked on Level 2 Digital Literacy. I am also Level 3 First Aid at Work qualified & am a Level 1 & 2 Certified Google Educator. I have recently achieved my Level 3 Diploma for Digital Practitioners completing this part time over the past 18 months. I have also previously tutored GCSE & A Level Biology & Mathematics, with improvement rates in my learners being very successful.
