About Sara Panicacci

Making an impact that matters” is Deloitte’s motto but I totally reflect it: going from a project to another one, being ready for new experiences (national and international), setting targets on a monthly basis, leading multiple people, are the things that make me say "I'm making an impact for someone" and this is what keeps me proud and ambitious every day. After my graduation from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and exchange program at ESCP University in Paris, focusing on Finance and Banking, things have slightly changed compared to what was planned. I joined Deloitte and I started focusing on the insurance business. This experience I am very proud of, helped me to discover an initially un-known world that immediately turned into an opportunity and I am always attracted to new challenges. The most important challenge I faced during my work experience was to move from one day to the next from Rome to Paris. Imagine when I was in Rome, I was just a rookie supporting my manager for an important Italian insurance company. Suddenly I was requested to take on the role of Project Manager in Paris because Deloitte saw my potential to face a new and very complex reality. Having such responsibilities with a new client and with new team members were the things that made me roll up my sleeves and do my best on the project and learn as much as possible from experienced directors and partners with different backgrounds and areas of expertise. I was able to be successful in the new role of PM thanks to the experiences previously gained from the following projects: Solvency II (with focus on Data Quality Management) integration and new DWH implementation, IDD Regulation appliance, technical PMO project (allowed and improved also thanks to the PMP certification I obtained from the Institute of Project Management). My long-standing passion for the consultancy and insurance world, has led me to becoming an experienced Manager with demonstrated results in the insurance industry, with specific skills in the functional and governance areas. As I mentioned before, I always love a challenge. Why? Because it allows me to fulfill and satisfy my ambition. However, at the same time, I constantly work to improve my teamwork, organization and communication skills, as these are also the areas I most care about while mentoring new practitioners and team members. As a Deloitte coach, I am committed to maintaining a positive atmosphere within my team by keeping them motivated and inspired even when working under pressure.
