About Sara Patterson

Experienced Retail Manager with over ten years of customer service experience. Skilled in merchandising, sales, team development and managing. Continuing learning at Fanshawe College, currently enrolled in the Business Program and completing courses online. A belief that a solid mix of education and hands-on experience will lead to success! Being a people-person with a customer focus attitude has allowed me to grow in the retail space. Having a self-starter attitude and believing in continuous growth and education has provided me with and will continue to provide me with all the tools necessary to be successful in the future. Over my years in different aspects of retail one thing has remained constant, customer service and being customer focused. Building and maintaining relationship with the customer will result in repeat business and the best kind of marketing, word-of-mouth. Over the years this has been a big part of my success in retail. Another aspect I see as important is community. I am co-chair on a committee through city council which allows me to participate in the discussion of and growth of the neighborhood I grew up in and still live in. Mitton Village is a historic area in Sarnia with loads of untapped potential. Being able to co-chair is something I am very proud of as I enjoy making connections with local businesses, supporting them and watching them grow. I am happy to be able to share this passion with the rest of my committee members.
