About Sara Qureshi

I'm a multidisciplinary professional with a background in Political Science and Law & Society from the University of British Columbia. My work experience is rooted in community-centered research, public health education, and equity-driven program development. With experience across academic, legal, nonprofit, and public health sectors, I bring together project management, DEI implementation, policy analysis, and creative strategy to drive inclusive and meaningful change. Currently, I work at the UBC Centre for Disease Control where I coordinate cross-functional teams with a focus on ethical people-centered research and knowledge translation. I am passionate about bridging gaps and I collaborate closely with individuals with lived and living experience to co-create inclusive programs that inform policy. My work is informed by a commitment to social justice, a collaborative mindset, as well as a deep belief in the power of connection, stories and engaged, informed communities. I live as an invited guest on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands and waters of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
