Background

About Sara Reyes

My values and skills are deeply rooted in the power of a mobilized community. By creating environments in which people experience meaningful interconnection, I am able to take part in building the social bonds that we need to catalyze meaningful changes in the systems and policies that structure our lives. With this driving goal, I specialize in creating conscientious, holistic strategies that are rooted in dignity and elevate the voices of grassroots, community influencers. I have been lucky enough to align my values and professional achievements by working in civil society for 12 years as a communications expert and brand manager; producing large and small scale art and entertainment events; and consulting on traditional and new media marketing and project management for small and large organizations. My sectoral experience ranges from conflict resolution to food rights-focused international development to hyper-local housing and service rights advocacy and implementation. My work ethic is community-centered, sustainable, and restorative-minded.
