About Sara Saba

I am a dedicated interdisciplinary collaborator with a deep focus on philosophical psychology, applied ethics, and trauma theory. Proficient in public scholarship and translational research, I excel in distilling intricate concepts from fields such as psychiatry, psychoanalysis, and moral psychology into actionable human interventions. My overarching goal is to leverage my expertise in qualitative research and trauma-informed advocacy to craft impactful and inventive courses, projects, and policies that directly tackle the ethical, social, and psychological complexities of our modern era. During my tenure at Emory University, I conceptualized and taught comprehensive courses centered around biomedical ethics, tailoring specialized applied ethics training for students pursuing a medical track. Notably, I secured a Mellon Public Scholarship Fellowship which empowered me to pioneer innovative approaches to training and development. This initiative encompassed the reimagining, coordination, and assessment of humanities courses, resulting in heightened effectiveness in engaging diverse audiences. In another capacity, I lent my ethics proficiency as a human factors consultant to the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market, the preeminent event of its kind. In this role, I redefined their humanitarian value articulation, reinvigorated their organizational mission, and crafted strategic marketing policies to amplify their impact. My dynamic aptitude in course design, qualitative research, and applied ethics equips me to consistently deliver exceptional outcomes and results to my students, clients, and collaborators.
