About Sara Saeidi

I am currently student of MA/Phil in History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS University of London, started in September 2024. I hold a Master's in Art History and a Bachelor's in Textile Design from Alzahra University of Tehran. This academic path is part of my preparation for a PhD, where I aim to explore the intersections of art, history, and material culture, with a particular focus on Persian art.With over 13 years of experience in the tile and ceramic industry, I work as a Product Designer, specializing in blending historical and cultural insights with contemporary design practices. My work focuses on creating innovative products that are both aesthetically modern and deeply rooted in tradition. I bring a unique perspective to my designs, ensuring they resonate with historical context and cultural significance, while meeting client needs.In addition to my design work, I possess a range of complementary skills, including graphic design, teaching, workshop facilitation, and event management. I have taught design and art history courses, organized and led workshops, and managed events, all of which have strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and engage with diverse audiences. These skills enrich my academic and professional endeavours, helping me bridge theory and practice while preparing for my PhD research.
