About Sara Valverde

My innate need for learning and discovering new things is what first attracted me to Data Analytics, its real world applications for problem-solving is what made me passionate about it. Joining Kahoot, after attending Ironhack meant a deep upskilling process. Here I got exposed to what it really means to work as a full stack Data Analyst. Since we have always been a very reduced team we have focused on being flexible and ready to take on any challenge so I've been exposed to a great variety of tasks. Anything from designing tracking plans and being involved in product analysis to extracting data from API's leveraging python scripts and GCS, including building dashboards in our BI tool for our Sales and Marketing teams. Now I'm looking forward to continuous growth in a company where I can learn from my colleagues and acquire expert knowledge, not only in analytics but also on machine learning methods and architectures, as I aim to step into Data Science. But how did I get here? I graduated from an Economics degree 3 years ago, and stayed working at the company where I did my internship for a year. While retaining my previous responsibilities as Research Assistant, I gained new ones as part of the Data Analytics team in the same company. After a year of hard work and learning, I felt I needed a new challenge to further expand my knowledge about Data Analytics and was specially curious about the more advanced tools and methods that were being used by colleagues in this field. That is when I decided to join Ironhack and dedicate myself exclusively to acquiring new skills and getting acquainted with the fundamentals of Data Analysis in order to keep learning ( which I will never stop doing) and building a career in a field I am passionate about.
